Sample promotional materials that you can adapt and use for your 2003 RegDay site This is a generic flier used to promote your RegDay site. Once your local information is filled in, they can be printed and distributed wherever fliers may be distributed. Some suggested locations: work, college campuses, businesses, bulletin boards. Ask your RegDay site location manager if they will hang them in their windows a couple of weeks before RegDay as well. This can be blown up at Kinko's or your local copy store. Site Coordinators can ask the store manager if they will mount it on foam core. Some do. A large poster, displayed inside at the store entrance 2 - 3 weeks in advance of the event, should help spread the word. This was used in Amador County last year. The TV station took this simple 8 1/2 X 11 full color paperwork, and did close up shots on them - full screen. It made them look HUGE! Here is a small media board that you can take to local stations, if you get some air time. Local stations can use this just fine, to spread the word in a graphic way! RegDay bookmarks are a great way to promote the event right at the site. This is a generic template so make sure to insert your local and state information before printing. It is recommended that site coordinators produce the bookmarks (on cardstock - 4 to a page) and make available for FREE to the book store 2 weeks prior to RegDay. Ask the store manager to use them as a bag stuffer and at the cash register too. Keep a few handy the day of RegDay. You can use them as a table material. It will serve as a nice reminder for visitors to mail in their ISRR forms, when they get home. If your RegDay location is at a Borders Bookstore, they will often put a write-up in their News and Local Events publication. This is a sample to provide, but they usually will edit.
